Before the future of The DC Cinematic Universe slate was revealed, fans had already seen a version of the Suicide Squad in action in season 2 of The CW’s Arrow. The show had built up a rogues gallery for itself leading up to the team’s debut, and since then, fans of the show have been looking forward to when they might get to see the villainous team of anti-heroes ride again.

After years of false starts (George Miller’s Justice League), Warner Bros. is finally taking advantage of their library of DC Comics characters and are in the early stages of putting together a shared cinematic universe for the Justice League.
